The portrait of Riot’s most “failed” champion, Fearless Draft cannot be saved

This is a champion that can be said to be another “failure” of Riot, even more so than K’Sante.

In the history of League of Legends, there have been many champions released and a large number of them are still popular to this day. There are even many champions that are considered beyond the meta, that is, not dependent on any updates or modifications, such as Azir or Lee Sin.

There are League of Legends champions that are still popular despite going through many different updates

However, most of them are generals that, thanks to the changes, have also become “dominant” choices. Of course, Riot is still trying to create a balanced game, but it’s clear that this publisher hasn’t really been very successful. The general who is “making waves” in Summer 2024 is the clearest proof.

But Skarner is becoming a defective product of Riot

The name that is making many teams “cry with hatred” even though Summer 2024 has not started for long is Skarner. In fact, it is not until now that Skarner is used much. But it must be said that in just a short time, Skarner has become a very popular name. Up to now, Skarner has been banned 596 times and picked 232 times. For those who don’t know, throughout the entire Spring Split, Skarner was only banned 23 times and appeared in only 2 games.

Skarner’s “terrible” difference is recorded in all domestic tournaments around the world. Worth mentioning, even in the Fearless Draft mode currently applied in LPL, Skarner also dominates almost absolutely in the Top Lane position. Specifically, this general was banned 34 times and selected 30 times. In other words, if one team bans/picks Skarner in the previous game, the other team will likely do the same in the next game.

Riot’s champion is proving too effective and no team has a way to counter it except banning him completely. Skarner may lose lane but will still be strong in the late game. If this general goes “green” early, the game will be almost one-sided, like the recent Gen.G – T1 match is an example.

Skarner is suitable for many different types of tactics

Meanwhile, Riot has not shown any action to reduce Skarner’s power in the next few updates. And perhaps, teams can only use bans to temporarily eliminate this champion while waiting for Riot.
